Dr Sovan Dey is a medical graduate of Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Nepal. After moving to Australia, he completed his Master of Public Health (MPH, La Trobe) and Master of Occupational and Environmental Health (Monash), Post Graduate Diploma in Skin Cancer Surgery (Bond Uni). He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP), a Clinical examiner for RACGP, and a GP supervisor.

Academic roles: Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer, Curtin Medical School, Faculty of Health Sciences, Sessional Academic at Monash University, Melbourne. Medical Advisor for Rural Health West. Visiting researcher at the UWA.
